Atelier Petra Costa
Nominated at this year's Oscar ceremony in the Best Documentary Feature category for The Edge of Democracy, Petra Costa will present her work as a director and producer during the first retrospective dedicated to her work. The Brazilian filmmaker draws from her personal experience inspiration to evoke the divisions and contradictions of a country faced with tumultuous events.
A selective retrospective is devoted to her work, and she will give a masterclass online on Thursday 30 April at 15:00. Il will be moderated by Delphine Jeanneret (HEAD–Geneva) and Giona Nazzaro (Visions du Réel).
