Leonel (9) and Antuán (13) live in a tiny village in the Cuban countryside. Hot Summer has come and they overcome boredom the best they can, in a world of their own. But while Cuba is going through a historical and transitional period, the two friends also come to a crossroads that makes them reconsider how they see the world and their future.

My Father’s Acres is a film about the landed gentry, battling on the border between history and modernity. With subtle humour, a strong sense for details and with striking visuals, it explores this tension, hereby examining time itself, and the human’s struggle against it. 


JUST A GAME

A former lawyer helps a group of teenagers to act out justice in a role-playing game. The only thing “Law” means to them, is the institution that once placed them in the foster home they are living in. They will nevertheless become the actors of a trial in a real Criminal Court. How will they react now that it is up to them to deliver a verdict? 


LEMEBEL

An intimate portrait of the writer and visual artist, Pedro Lemebel, pioneer of queer movement in Latin America. Was one of the first who shakes conservative chilean society post Pinochet's dictatorship. Through stinging performances and sharp tongue said what nobody wanted to listen in an homophobic, militarize and repressed country. 


LAST NIGHT I SAW YOU SMILING

The White Building, an iconic structure in central Phnom Penh from 1963 and home to 493 families, faces demolition. Kavich Neang, a young lmmaker raised there, documents the nal days of its residents, most of whom have resided there for more than three decades. Kavich follows three families, including his own, packing their clothes and belongings, sharing their memories, expressing their anxiety and eventually moving out from the building, before its total destruction.

Set at the intersection of an observational documentary and an audio-visual experiment, this film connects the strangers from the opposite ends of the radio signal and reimagines the role of the old-school, live, spoken word radio in contemporary life.

In 1877 a Swiss aristocrat, Alfred von Rodt, became the king of the Chilean island of Robinson Crusoe in the Pacific Ocean. He ruled for 30 years over a handful of fishermen, some goats, cows and thousands of seals. Nowadays his descendants still live there and they dream of becoming politically independent.

Nobody ignores the power of witchcraft in the Brazzaville’s neighbourhoods. The invisible world orchestrates the visible world. Apostle Médard’s mission is to fight witchdoctors who destroy people’s lives. To achieve this goal, he seeks to increase his power and earn more prestige. Until the day he is publicly accused to be a witchdoctor as well.
